The 10 Best Spots To Get Married In Pittsburgh

Wedding Planning

One of the most vital decisions for your big day is choosing the venue.  This will hold a special place in you and your partner’s life forever and should capture exactly what you expect your wedding day to feel like.

Much like engagement rings, wedding venues are not a one-size-fits-all solution.  Numerous factors go into deciding the perfect place for you to celebrate, including:

  • Location – Where do you want to get married ?  How far are your guests willing to travel ?
  • Style – What do you want your backdrop to look like in your wedding photos ?
  • Size – How big does your venue need to be ?
  • Budget – How much can you afford for your big day ?

Once you have those questions answered, you can find the perfect venue for your wedding day.

Say ‘I Do’ to These Pittsburgh Wedding Venues

Western Pennsylvania offers beautiful venues in various forms, and many of them are conveniently located in the Pittsburgh region.  Here are 10 of Pittsburgh’s top wedding venues:

1. Omni William Penn Hotel

Between six luxurious ballrooms spread across more than 20,000 square feet of elegance, the options are endless in one of Pittsburgh’s grandest wedding venues. If you want to throw your wedding with style, the Omni William Penn may be your dream come true.

2. Allegheny Country Club

Located in Sewickley Heights 15 miles north of Downtown Pittsburgh, Allegheny Country Club is a great option for a traditional venue.  The grounds of the country club provide guests with a fresh, open concept with both indoor and outdoor options — perfect for any season.

3. Carnegie Museums Oakland

If you aim to get away from the traditional venue but would like to have a classy feel to your day, there’s no place better than the Carnegie Museum of Natural Art and History.  Here you will spend your special day with your loved ones while also enjoying exhibits under the museum’s beautiful, modern architecture. This venue is sure to stand out !

4. LeMont

Known for its unmatched views of the city, LeMont is an elegant banquet space on Mt. Washington.  This Pittsburgh wedding venue will dazzle with the energy from your guests and the sparkling city lights below.  Is a jaw-dropping banquet space in your wedding dreams ? If so, we recommend you check out LeMont.

5. University Club

Located in Oakland on the University of Pittsburgh campus, University Club is a classic venue catering to both small and large weddings.  Whether you choose to go intimate or grand, the venue is customizable to fit your wedding plans. Bonus: There’s a gorgeous rooftop terrace where you and your guests can catch some fresh air during the festivities.

6. The Pennsylvanian

Sharing your first toast in downtown Pittsburgh at the original Pittsburgh’s Penn Station will be sure to take your breath away.  From the unique cocktail experience under the rotunda to dancing the night away under The Grand Hall’s skylight, this venue is a magical place to begin your marriage.

7. Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall

This memorial hall and museum is another great option for the couple who likes to customize their wedding experience.  Celebrate your wedding in a modern yet timeless venue that also holds plenty of history.

8. Longue Vue Club

If you can’t decide between an outdoor or indoor wedding, the Longue Vue Club may be your solution.  The club is located 20 minutes from Downtown on top of a manicured golf course. Longue Vue accommodates wedding parties large or small, and the venue offers the assistance of their onsite event coordinators to make your planning completely stress-free.

9. Heinz Chapel

Heinz Chapel is one of the most popular buildings in Oakland.  The iconic red doors open into a stunning, high ceiling church that will serve as the stage for your wedding ceremony.  And don’t worry—you don’t have to be a University of Pittsburgh alumni to celebrate your marriage here !

10. Grand Concourse

Celebrate your wedding across the bridge from Downtown Pittsburgh in Station Square at the Grand Concourse.  Stepping into the former railroad station, you may be stunned by the vintage decor, stained glass windows, and cathedral ceiling, but that is not all The Grand Concourse offers.  The seats along the large windows showcase the Pittsburgh skyline to leave your guests in aw.

"I’m on my way to my honeymoon, but I wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you. Tiffany and Lorenzo were both fantastic and made sure my wedding was wonderful. Tiffany’s music was stunning, and it was easy to work with her. But what I really wanted to let you know was how wonderful Renzo was! He went above and beyond for me the entire time I was working with him. He was very communicative and easy to talk to in advance. He came out to visit the venues with me so that he would be prepared, and was generous with his time and very patient. He made sure he had all the info he needed. He was professional, and fun to work with. And he was a great DJ! Set everything up very well, kept the guests entertained, on the dance floor, and kept my timeline going. He even gave a little salsa lesson to my guests because I told him it would mean a lot to me, and everyone had a blast! Anyway, I’m sure you know all of this (and I need to get to my honeymoon), but he was so wonderful throughout, I just wanted to let you know :) I know he will do excellent work for many more of your brides in the future!"

"We just got back to New York yesterday and wanted to send a quick note to thank you again so very much for being a part of our bootleg backyard wedding on the 3rd. I'm so sorry that I didn't get a chance to say hi in-person - everything was such a whirlwind that day! This year has been a rocky one to say the least with everything going on in the world, but it was all so completely worth it to still be able to get married on our original date. You were a huge part of that, and we are forever grateful. Hope you have a great rest of the weekend, and we'll see the trio in December for the big wedding :)"
Caitlin & Matt 7/3/20 Private Residence in Somerset Solo Violinist Steven Vance

"Steve was a must-have for our wedding as he did my sister's 8 years ago (and we loved him) and should be a must-have for your event! Not only does he do an amazing job MC'ing and DJ'ing, and running the event, but the live violin - WOW! The violin adds elegance to your event that guests will continue to talk about for years to come.  Steve also is an expert in the field, leaving no worries for the bride-to-be in the event. I knew our reception would run perfectly with him in charge and it did. Highly recommend!!"     Paige & Russ 3/14/20  Soldiers & Sailors Hall
